It is an emotional experience for many of the visitors. Thereafter transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park. Being the biggest conservation area in Rwanda. Nyungwe Forest has an array of birds, primates and wildlife. It is famous for its canopy walk where you walk on a bridge in the tree branches close to the animals. The scenery is breathtaking. Located about 6 hours from Kigali, the route is scenic with rolling hills. Have a stopover for hot lunch at Butare before proceeding. On arrival, check in and rest before dinner.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking
Following early breakfast, you will be given packed lunch before you head out in the morning to the tourist center. You will meet the park rangers who will brief you on the rules of tracking chimpanzees. Head out in search of the primates, hiding high up in the thickets. Ensure to bring along binoculars as you may also see a variety of birds. You will return to the lodge in the late afternoon where you will freshen up and rest as you await dinner.

The walkway is suspended over 60 meters above the ground meaning you will be closer to the monkeys and birds. This is a true paradise for birders.
